How is an IVF due date calculated?
IVF dating uses the known transfer date and embryo age rather than the first day of a last period. It can provide a useful estimate, but your fertility clinic or maternity team confirms the date used for your care.
- 3-Day Transfer: Your due date is 263 days from your transfer date.
- 5-Day Transfer (Blastocyst): Your due date is 261 days from your transfer date.
Important: Always confirm your exact official due date with your fertility clinic or NHS midwife.
